how to clean dash mini waffle maker
Love the Dash mini for making chaffles, but what is your best cleaning method?!?
I scrub with a wet dish brush and diluted soap and rinse by wetting the brush over and over. Is there a way to keep bacteria from growing in all the wells? Spritz with vodka maybe??? 🤔

I treat it like my cast iron. No soap whatsoever. Clean of any food particles/oily residue with a dry paper towel and put it away. I don't worry about bacteria as the heat during pre-heat will kill anything.

I hear this a lot but I never get anything stuck to it. Except to the edges on the outside. And they just flake off. I don't use any non-stick spray when I make mine - I just pour the batter on.

I use a toothbrush with some soap

No soap, very mildly damp cloth to wipe down the two surfaces

Don't tell the Chaffle Police but I wash mine like anything else, soapy brush over the sink and rinse (carefully). It's going to be unplugged all day anyway. Nothing's sticking so far except when I go Cheddar crazy.

Damp sponge or paper towel to get any burnt on food off. Then I open it up and tip upside down on the counter top over a paper towel to let any lingering moisture dry or drip off.

I clean/wipe it out with a clean dishcloth or paper towels, then dry it and let it heat cycle (open) once.
One of these days I'm just going to throw it into the top rack of the dishwasher to see what happens.
